Eleven Shanty Shaker rigs made the trek to Gillette, Wyoming for Escapades. The Carle’s and Hawkins traveled together and enjoyed seeing the Best Friends animal sanctuary in Kanab, UT. The Carle’s headed to northern Montana, where they encountered hail then on to Williston, North Dakota to visit family while the Hawkins checked out Bozman, MT and loved it. The Selden’s and Galeckis ran into Don Smith in Las Vegas and together they travelled to to Utah Lake. From there Don went to Sheridan, Wyoming and the others went to Yellowstone National Park then on to Hardin, Montana for the reenactment of Custer's Last Stand. While in Hardin, the Selden’s and Galeckis ran into the Pumphreys (who were in Alamosa and Colorado Springs beforehand) then the Fosters showed up at the same campground after being turned away in Glacier due to snow. The Galeckis and the Fosters went to Buffalo for a week while the Seldens went on to South Dakota to see Mt Rushmore. While moving closer to Gillette the Carle’s and Selden’s ended up at the same RV park in Sundance, WY. The Stouts visited the Millers in Grand Bend then went to Missoula and Billings MT. Don and Tracy B drove straight through over 3 days and met up the Stouts in the Walmart parking lot in Gillette. The Sands stayed in Salt Lake City for a few days and enjoyed touring the city. From there, they headed to Dillon, Butte and Hardin, MT
AND THEY ALL MET UP AT THE CAMPLEX IN GILLETTE, WY FOR ESCAPADES !!! (whew)
The week was busy attending classes, visiting the vendors, checking out the chapters on The Row, drooling over the displayed RVs and it ended in a pet parade, a Chile cookoff and a 35th Birthday bash banquet. In between all that, we enjoyed chatting and sharing at our happy hours and the LEOs (love eating out) visited several of the local restaurants.
