What's been happening?

 

LABOR DAY WEEKEND AT RED BEACH: Garth and Judy Carle were joined by a few other SS couples to enjoy the holiday weekend on the beach. The weather was hot the first day, but beautiful the next two days. It was a great place to beat the heat. Not too crowded, and all of the sections were open (North, Central, & South Beach).David and Sharon Gladding caught some fish and had a really good time. Vern and Faith Foster came out for a visit, but their dog was sick so they didn't stay. George and Wilda Bass joined in the fun also.


 HAPPY 50+ ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION AT THE SPAGHETTI FACTORY
The room was filled to capacity and a good time was had by all. Thank-you to the hosts Clark and Betty Paxton for hosting the luncheon and the celebration for Shanty Shaker couples who have been married more than 50 years....wow...awesome....and congratulations !

NO SHRIMP ? Update from the Wagon master, John Pumphrey: The Shrimp Festival in Gila Bend is no longer held as the company has switched to producing algae to make bio-fuel.

FROM CHAPTER DIRECTORS:

We know Escapade was a short time ago in Gillette, WY – however Bob & Molly Pinner are already busy planning Escapade in Goshen, IN for May 2014.  The program book will go to print early in February so begin planning  for Row Representative volunteers.  Goshen is always a wonderful place for Escapade and Spring Time in Indiana is very enjoyable.
