August breakfast meeting

It was a lively group at the monthly August breakfast meeting at Denny’s in El Cajon. We heard about member’s summer travels, both good  and bad experiences  (the Fosters highly recommend to have a surge protector if you don’t already have one) and we heard about future travel plans from several members including those planning to attend Escapades in Sedalia, Missouri                            

 For every meeting members bring new or gently used prizes and raffle tickets are sold. Winning ticket holders earn the opportunity to choose a prize. Money from the raffle goes into the chapter’s general fund. It’s a win-win and everyone has fun with it.

Fall is the time of year to begin planning for the annual election of officers. The current slate of officers has done an admirable job but many are ready to turn over their duties. If you have not yet assumed an active role in the chapter now is the time to step up be involved Be thinking about what YOU can do to continue the growth, friendships, and support the Shanty Shakers offer.
