Hello from Quartzsite, AZ

Cold and crisp nights with sunny days and blue skies with lots of shopping, shopping and more shopping !
Throw in a few happy hours, pot lucks, cook outs and lots of eating, eating and more eating ! Welcome to the 30th annual Sports, Vacation and RV show in scenic Quartzsite.






Quartzsite in January is like no other place on earth ! Deals and vendors displaying their treasures and delights are everywhere around town. The "Big Tent" on the south side of town on 20 acres boosts an estimated attendance of over 150,000. (when you are looking for a place to park you know that to be true)

 















Most of the Shanty Shakers who came out here are dry camping at Greasewood; and those who like long, hot showers and microwave ovens are staying at Desert Gardens with full hook ups.

No matter where you are staying its a given fact that Happy Hour with snacks starts at 3:00 and after dinner in your rig or at one of the local joints, the campfire with be glowing.

                                                     

Escapade info & Registration

A week full of educational, fun, and social events awaits you at the 53rd Escapade in Gillette, WY.  The 35th birthday bash takes place Thursday, July 4, honoring the founding of Escapees RV Club by Joe and Kay Peterson on July 4, 1978.

Judy's foster dog, Maisy is waiting to be adopted ! Information on this female chihuahua mix can be viewed on the Escondido Humane Society website under Animal ID 70092. Lets find a good home for Maisy.

Judy also has a large birdcage  for sale for $20

Chapter Dues and Registration Form

The 2013 Chapter 25 annual dues can now be submitted. The $10 fee goes directly to the chapter treasury. Dues should be submitted by the end of March 2013 to remain active on the Shanty Shaker Roster.

For those of you who attended the Shanty Shakers Christmas Party on December 4th, Garth and Judy would like to say thank you for coming, and for all of your help. Everyone said they enjoyed the good food, and entertainment.
